I have a question. I have a heart and star waffle iron. 928N 18 on the iron paddles and a 327C low base. Is there a high base for this? I actually use this to make waffles and think the high base would work much better just a small lift to turn instead raising high to clear stove top. Thank you,
The 327 is actually not an original base for the 928 H&S. It goes with the 919/920 H&S pans. The 928N had bases made in all four styles: hi/low, handled/bailed. They are numbered 152-155, same as for the 151N #8 round waffle iron. Chart here: https://www.castironcollector.com/waffle.php
Being that the same bases fit a regular #8 WI-- the most popular size-- should make it somewhat easier. Finding the exact one you need as an orphan, somewhat harder.
Got that Doug. I do have an No 88 985 E high handle ring that was given to me. It's in pristine condition. It fits it pretty good. There is a little drag on the ball and socket when turning is all. Suppose I can use that until I strike pay dirt and get the correct one?
