unmarked #10 letter A underside of handle

Hi all,
I'm not sure how to search the forum, so I may be duplicating a question. Just got a #10 skillet, no markings on back. Number 10 on handle where most are located. There's a raised letter 'A' on the underside. Any thoughts on this? It was a couple bucks so no problem if it has no value.
thanks,
Tony

Need more info, or photo even better. Assuming it has a heat ring? Notches in heat ring or no? The 10 raised or incised?

Hi Doug,
I haven't gotten around to cleaning this but I did a little scraping -- holding it up to the light I found what looks like I think 11 3/4 inch skillet above 6 o'clock. It is flat bottom, 10 on the handle, with the "A" on underside of handle. I have a similar skillet with the 11 3/4 inch skillet but it also says Made in USA underneath. This one does not.
I have several other pieces that I would like to photo and post for ID. They have gate marks but no other IDs. I don't know if that makes them valuable. My wife is carping at me about all the cast iron I have sitting around. I use a lot of them, some I don't, but I have this obsession of grabbing every one I come across! And my family is incredibly grateful when I give them a piece.
I know I will have to let some of them go. It's hard, though, when you come across a #9 Griswold large logo - perfectly seasoned - for $9, to keep walking by.
Thanks so much for the site, it's helped me tremendously.
Tony
