Hi,
I am just another who was bit by the Cast Iron bug. Something inside me told me to pick up a $6.99 Wagner 9" square skillet from the Goodwill shelf and that was it - the CI bug bit. When I got home I googled the skillet and I have been on a bunny trail of CI research ever since. BTW the Wagner skillet is a pre-Made in USA.
When I came upon the Griswold logo in my research it looked familiar. As a kid I remember the sound of my mother nesting her cast iron skillets in cupboard after frying up some eggs and bacon or browning hamburger for a casserole. At least one of those skillets was a Griswold. Where her cast iron set ended up after her passing I will never know but I am sure someone is putting them to good use.
In my next post, I will asking you to i.d. a skillet I bought off of the Goodwill auction site. Hopefully someone will know.
Thanks for having me.
