I am kind of new dealing with cast iron. My Mom and Grandparents used cast iron cookware. I bought a #10 lodge skillet back in the 70's's and used it occasionally. When I retired last year I started reading more about the downfalls of Teflon and started using cast iron exclusively. I have collected a few vintage pieces. I have a Wagner #8, a lodge #7, Lodge # 3. I also have a couple of asian skillets we got before we knew better. I bought a 10 quart enameled cast iron dutch oven from Sears last year. We love it. Collecting the vintage pieces I have learned how to recondition them. I have a Lye bath and Vinegar bath. I have reconditioned several pieces now. I enjoy doing that.
