Greetings everyone from Canada and very excited to being a newbie in the cast iron world and this forum. I have recently purchased a Griswold #8 skillet large logo from Ebay. It should be here in the next few days and now I am searching for the matching lid and I see they are very expensive on Ebay. I am very interested in the large logo which is on the lid.
Of note, I have looked at the wanted adds here in Edmonton and two skillets caught my attention from one seller. They are Canadian from a company called Smart's Brockville and they are a No.60 and a No.80 and they have wooden handles. From my research they are around the 1942 vintage, he is asking for $50 Cdn for the two. Not sure if that is a great deal but will be viewing them on Sat so will keep you posted.
