I started recently cooking as a new hobby due to a recent illness that limits my ability. I also signed up for Facebook. On FB I found a page about cooking using Cast Iron, different post got me more interested in CI. I have for years attended flea markets and auctions without any interest in CI. So for the last year I have been buying stray pieces of CI and restoring them as my air permits.
I am on several FB pages reading and learning but have more questions than can be resolved there. Right now I am interested in learning as much as I can about a Wagner O tea pot, are tea kettles or humidifiers? Which is the correct term? I have before and after pics. It is gated, and after e-tanking it and using only scotch brite steel wool it came out a nice shiny finish. Questions: Are the top and bottom married pieces? Does it have a factory finish like nickel or something? How do I post pics?
 
Welcome. Most people call them tea kettles. The shape says pot, not kettle. Once upon a time they were used mostly for heating water. More recently for humidifiers. My read is that if one made tea in it then it would be a tea pot. I don’t, so my new one is a water pot that I may use next winter for extra humidity.
