Is this large piece collectable?

I found this cast-iron primitive pan. 20 inch diameter. 44 inch handle. Waiting for more pictures showing any markings. I have read on this site that very large cast iron pans as very valuable. So is this anything? Thanks.

Some more photos. No markings anywhere according to owner. Handle is 25 inches long, not 44. Anyone?

Thanks.

It doesn't appear that what you have is cast iron. The walls seem far too thin and the handle welded on, an attachment method you would not see with cast iron. My guess would be it's wrought iron or perhaps steel.

Ah. Ok, thanks Doug. Looking at the piece now after reading your observations, I see what you mean. I have seen a lot of this sort of pan, made from steel. I appreciate your feedback. I'll pass the info on.

Thanks!

I spoke with the person again. Apparently, the pan was found in a group of cabins originally built in the 1800's in Southern Ontario, Canada. Very interesting!
