Hi everyone. I am new to this and new to forums in general. I just purchased a Griswold 315 waffle iron. I already own a #8 and a #14 pans. The 8 I use just about every day. My question about my waffle iron is one half is stamped with a B near the handle but the other one has nothing. Does this mean they are a mismatch? Should I have an A and B? It’s no big thing since I just want to cook with it. Thanks!

The letter is a pattern identifier. Many working patterns for the same items were made so that multiples could be cast simultaneously instead of one at a time. Letters let quality control keep track of which pattern made a particular casting. No letter just means one more unique working pattern.
