Ideal 8 waffle iron

I have a cast iron waffle iron and high heat ring marked with Ideal 8. I am looking for any information I can get on this item. Photo attached.

Appear to be made by Stover of Freeport, IL. Are the patterns on the paddles mismatched?
 
Doug, thanks for your reply, and yes the patterns are different. There are squares on one paddle and +s on the other.

Stover advertised this as being a feature which produced waffles superior to those of other makers.
