Hello everyone! Just this past week I received my first pieces of cast iron. My mom gave me some that she managed to salvage after their house was lost to hurricane Ike.

Anyway, I'm a native Houstonian and have always had some type of "collection" going. As a kid it was baseball/football cards. Later in life I've gone through various hobbies including fly fishing, (which I still do), and now gardening, canning, and of course cast iron.
I plan on hitting up all the local shops and garage sales that I can and see what I can find and then restore them for use.
