Hi. I've been checking web to find out about a wagner hollow ware display stand i have. i found this forum and figured you guys would know if anybody does. its about 5 ft tall with 8 arms for hanging. the top arm also incorporates a cutout of a tea kettle with a script wagner hollow ware engraved on both sides. the top arm also says wagner mfg co and sydney ohio. it was upstairs in the hardware store my parents bought in 1960 and its been around ever since. maybe somebody knows about it. thanks rick c

If the one with the round pedestal base, a complete one with all cross-arms and good nickel finish is valued in the RB (2005) at $1800-2000. It is dated 1890s-1902. The one shown in the book has two sets of cross-arms, one just under the teapot, and another wider one mounted about 8" lower. The description says it is not complete, that arms are missing.

it doesn't have a round base it has a three legged base. i cna't believe its nickle looks more like cast iron to me with a steel pole in the middle. but nothing is broken.

There are only two shown in the book: one as I described, another with a three-legged base, but with an actual teapot atop it. The nickel described would be a plated finish over cast iron. There may be other versions, but the book does not show or mention them.

what book are you referring to? does it state a price for the other model? thanks for your time i just have no idea what to ask for it. have a couple of people interested in purchasing it but just have no idea what to ask for it. again thanks.
rick

The other stand shown is valued the same. Whether that value holds today is hard to say-- these items rarely come up on eBay, if ever. The book is The Book of Wagner & Griswold by Smith & Wafford.
