Grew up around CI and had several pieces of my own. Inherited my mom's 15 years ago. A friend "joined " me to CIC FB a month or so ago. Timing was great because I wasn't able to use mom's pan because the crud build up was catching fire. So found The Cast Iron Collector thru that FB page, got my pan all cleaned up(10 days of EZ off to do it)and I was hooked. I've managed to score some ok finds, a Wagner chicken fryer and an 60's Lodge in a CL box. My Goodwill find was disappointing-got it cleaned up and a welded break it in. 60's lodge 10 skillet and older lid and a gatemarked skillet off on one man's junk, an unmarked deep fish fryer from the flea market and yesterday my most intriguing find, a HSB and Co Cruso waffle iron from one of the local antique markets. SO yep, I AM HOOKED on CI....Love this site and all the helpful info
PS Found out why stuff always burned in the middle on moms-once I got the quarter inch of crud off....can we say SPINNER
