New to cast iron and wound up here via a hot pepper forum. ;0 I grow super-hot peppers and on one of the pepper forums, quite a few of the great cooks use cast iron cookware so I've been keeping an eye peeled for a bargain or two. This past weekend at a moving sale, I scored three pieces. The pans had belonged to an old lady's mother so they are likely quite old. One is an intriguing oval roaster. Have googled, which brought me here, and looked on eBay but haven't yet found anything exactly like it. Will post pics when I figure out how and am hoping someone here will kindly share with me what they know about the roaster. At any rate, I appreciate the information gleaned thus far and can't wait to get the pans cleaned and seasoned and see how the cooking goes!
