Hello new friends!

My name is Mark and I am brand new here. Thank you for accepting me!
My sis recommended this site and turned me on to cast iron as well.
I live in S, Central WI, originally from the Chicago burbs.
I am pretty new to the CI world but I really love it!
Now I actually enjoy stopping at garage and yard sales with the wife!
I can't wait to post pictures of some of my finds and learn as much as I can.
I love finding CI and love cleaning and cooking with them too. Now I have my wife and others watching out for cast iron at sales for me!

I love finding CI and love cleaning and cooking with them too.

So do I. Before my Mother passed on a couple pans, and a dutch oven to me the most I would cook is the occasional crock pot black eyed peas with ham hocks. Other than that it was pretty much frozen foods I could heat up in the microwave.

Being able to bring something back from a rusted out mess, to being able to cook dinner in it is great. I now look for recipes I can cook in the CI.
