My wife and myself just kinda stumbled onto collecting CI as we were trying to find out how to clean our original Lodge pan we got when we married. We have already built an electrolysis tank for a couple of pans we picked up at garage sales. We have our old pan in the lye right now trying to get years of junk off the outside of it. The electro. tank didnt phase it a bit but the lye is eating away at it fairly well. We have the bug and think its a great adventure to find and reclaim these great old pieces of our history. We have to keep a good sense of humor though because the first two we found were made in China and Taiwan:icon_rofl:. The third on we found is nice but have not been able to identify yet. It has the letters HI on the bottom and 12 IN on the handle. It is 3 legged with a lid but the outer ring of the lid is broken and the inner piece of iron has come loose from the outer ring most of the way around it. I am considering mig welding it back together but not sure. Anyway glad we found you guys we have been reading like crazy.
 
Thanks Ken. I just posted a photo on the newbies section and it was a little over the 19.8 file size. I may be in trouble so I want to wait and see what happens before I do it twice. My resizer will not make them any smaller. :oops:
