If a web search for the answer to your cast iron cookware question has brought you directly to this forum, the information you seek may be covered in one of the many reference topics featured on the main website.
I started cooking in cast iron at a young age, but really knew nothing about it except how to maintain. I've been lurking here for months and learned how to strip (lye bath) and restore and now I'm enjoying the hunt.
I'll have to figure out how to post pics of my "eye candy" lol. Every time I run across a maker or pattern I don't already have I find that I now own it, just can't seem to help myself. I seem to have a lot of skillets these days, a few griddles, 1 dutch oven, 2-3 corn stick pans, head cheese pan that's shaped like a hogs head and 1 turks head pan.
Yeah, I hear you. I'm now up to 31 pieces. Mostly skillets, but three muffin pans, one Korn stick pan, as of today, a couple of griddles, chicken fryers (although I don't fry chicken) and one rather old dutch oven.
Can't wait to see a picture of that head cheese pan! Never heard of that.
