Hi all,

So glad I've found this forum. The only hobby I have is collecting and cooking with cast iron. I enjoy the history behind each piece. I'm looking forward to submitting some pics of the different Wagner and Griswold skillets and dutch ovens that I have. Although I don't suspect any are very old, I'll be curious if anyone can ID the year they were made.

My first two pans at least ,, it may have been three my mum gave me when I I first went on my own , one of them a lady gave her when she was working at miles memorial hospital that's in the southern part of the state I live in,it was a gift when she had gotten married to my dad an it was old then. That started my whole collection. Now my stoves oven is full an I've got some in a cupboard some on the stove an three on a "banjo" cooker. After i finally got married I tried cooking on other pans and found them impossible to work with cause the foo always stuck so I dropped them like the hot potato. Anyways long story short with my mum cooking with cast iron my whole life (18 years) an my own adult life we've got the long term thing going, I'm nearly 50 now.

Hi, I'm a newbie also. I'm from Illinois and am loving cast iron also. I've got a few pans that I can't identify also. Still love them just the same.
