Greetings to everyone from beautiful Santa Cruz, Ca, also called Surf City USA. There's some controversy about that, which makes it all the better.

We also have at least one cast iron enthusiast here, and that's me.

I do not even know how i came to enjoy cast iron, but somehow i have, and love cooking with it. In about a month or two, I've amassed (and restored & reseasoned) about 15 or so pieces. That's more than enough to cook with, though i can't see stopping acquiring pieces just because i have enough to use.

Looking forward to sharing stories of good finds and restorations with a like-minded community ... what a great site this is! :)

Hi Sherman! Sounds like the CI bug has got ya! I think you'll find lots of interesting and useful info. on this site and in the forum. Caution, CI seems to multiply on its own...:laughup:

i've already noticed that i now look to see if there are any antique stores nearby (wherever i am), and i take an extreme interest in thrift stores and swap meets ... my temperature's normal, but i think there's something going on!
