Hi everybody, I am hoping you can help me figure something out. I recently purchased 2 heavy, iron stools at a warehouse estate sale that appear to have come from a diner or some type of bar station (soda shop, maybe?) and as I took off the seats to clean them I found they were engraved underneath with C.H.F. Co. North Chicago, Illinois.
I am not a collector of iron items, nor really even a collector of anything, but found these to be very interesting.
As far as I can determine from the internet C.H.F. Co. is Chicago Hardware Foundry, but I can't seem to find any information that they made diner stools, or anything other than cast iron cookware.
Does anyone know anything about this company or about the stools they made? Any information would be great, or some direction to research.
I attached a couple of pictures of the stools to see what I am talking about.
Thanks
