Hello! Does anybody know more about these waffle irons? I can't seem to find anything to help me date them. I found them at a thrift store last weekend and couldn't pass on it. Thank you!
Wagner had 3 patent dates that I'm familiar with, 1892, 1910 and 1925. My guess would be that it was made between 1892 and 1910. The production dates may have started a year later than the patent date.
I haven't seen one from 1892 in my area, Georgia, but it doesn't mean that they aren't fairly common. I do/did have two 1910 and one 1925 waffle irons. I do have a pat. July 26, 1892 Wafer Iron from Wagner though.
Be careful in the base. They are probably different from the 1910 and definitely different from the 1925. I learned that the hard way, that was why I had so many of them.
Does anyone know if the 1910 base will work with the 1892 paddles?
