Default Other weekend finds-two Wagner drip roasters

A couple of weekends ago, I was doing a little antiquing (I collect old oil lamps, btw) and I came across these 2 aluminum (aluminum alloy?) Wagner roasters. Seller asks $60 for the #9 and $45 for the #8. Anyone know about aluminum roasters? Are they worth collecting? I did not buy them, but I might. Your thoughts?

I have a few of these. The first was a #10 in rough condition I got cheap off eBay to try my hand at refurbing. Knowing that I can rehab them with a little work usually makes me not want to pay those kinds of prices for them. But they can usually be had for less than the CI versions.

Thanks Doug. What cleaner/polishing compound did you use on your collection?

That last auction that I went to had 5 or 6 of the larger oval magnalite roasters (my mother in law bought 3 of them... she already has several the she uses regularly... but she loves them and the ones she bought were different sizes than the ones she already had.. and they were selling cheap... like $25 ea)

They do look really nice when all shined up.

Here's a HHI pan I did back in the summer using the CIC recommendations for refurbishing cast aluminum. It really does work.
