Unmarked Wagner Grill Pan?

This morning I picked up an unmarked #9 "grill pan" at an estate sale for $3.00. It has 11 ridges on the cooking surface and a block style 9 on top the handle. The back has MADE IN USA with a Y below. There is another Y under the handle.

Sound like a Wagner? Is this a common piece? Value?

ANY information would be appreciated!

If you mean the skillet with the raised ridges, yes, that sounds like unmarked Wagner, post-early 1960s. In good condition, ~ $20 average.

This is the first older piece I have seen with the ridges. Saw a Lodge at Target today that was labeled "grill pan." Is that the common terminology for it?

I am very pleased that mine is valued at $20. Huge fun to buy something so cheap, and then clean it, research it and put it use.

Thanks!

The original was the Axford Broiler made c. 1930 and continued for many years. Wagner also made your pan for Axford during some time around yours. Lodge made a very nice one that is seldom seen but I found one last year at a flea market.

The information on the Axford Broiler is very interesting. Thanks.

I had never seen this type until today. How common is my grill pan?
