Some things you see a lot of, this is the only one that I have seen like this. Fire seared meat. Only markings are on the handle. Go easy, I already sold it.

Makers of early unmarked pieces are almost always impossible to tell. I don't remember what I sold my pan like yours for; it was over a decade ago. One was at our local flea market earlier this year but I either didn't ask the price or don't remember. Prices are not my thing, the enjoyment of the iron is what motivates me. My guess is that trying to get more than $50 to 75 for these would take some time but they are very nice broilers.

I understand about the price thing for you, with you it's the enjoyment. I am the same with what I collect and keep it's the enjoyment, and not $. But for me doing what I do, it is for both. I sold my pan for 68. took about 45 days to sell. Thank you for your time.

I recently obtained something in the same ball park. It's shaped like a griddle, about a #8 size, but has a grill pattern something like four triangles meeting in the center. The grill slats are shaped like troughs, and drain into a 'moat' the circumference of the pan. Also it is somewhat convex, like a shallow dome shape, and has a very small pointed pour spout. It was hanging in an antique booth, the tag described it as an 'outdoor decorative piece' with a price of $15. Having never seen anything like it, and sensing it was a very functional and very old piece (the handle seemed very unique) I bought it, with the added sense that I was stealing it. Looking in an antique book the size of a metro pone book I found a drawing that matched it exactly, an 1880's era broiler valued at $75+. Other than slight surface rust and patchy ancient seasoning it seems flawless, it'll get its turn in the electro tank soon.
