Newbie to the group

Hello everyone, I'm new to the group and to Cast Iron and boy did I catch the bug bad!!! thanks for adding me and I wanted to show my latest purchase. This is a #14 3 notch lodge from 1940-1945!!

it really is I purchased it from John Clough, he's supposed to be an expert in Lodge CI!! This is my second skillet I have purchased from him. The first one was a #8 single notch Lodge Arc that was also in near perfect shape and I was able to get it for 50.00 and the #14 I got for 90.00. He's real fair in his pricing!!

O.K. That's interesting! I thought the Lodge arc logo was from 1910 to 1930 and in 1930 lodge stopped putting their name on their product. The single notch in the heat ring ran from 1930 to 1940, then the 3 notch lodge was introduced in 1940. Your arc logo 1 notch Lodge means there was some carryover during the transition to unmarked 1 notch Lodges. That's strong circumstantial evidence your pan was made early in the year 1930. I could be wrong, but it passes the logic test. Congratulations on a really neat set of skillets.
 
The single notch in the heat ring ran more like 1925-1930s, both marked and unmarked, if we are to believe the RB, which places no-notch marked Lodges ca. 1925-1930 and single notch marked ca. 1925-1930s. Ambiguous? Yes. Confusing? Certainly. But, in the words of Mark Agnesi, "Nothing happens on January 1st."

all this information I am loving it!! I love history and history of a skillet I own is even better!!
