Thanks Doug. In terms of maintaining or increasing value of it, should I scrape off the painted pig?

A marked version, especially one with the 1050 catalog number, would have some value. Totally unmarked, not so much, especially without provenance that whoever owned Wagner made unmarked ones. Removing the paint would be your choice, but I wouldn't scrape. Try mineral spirits.
