ID guesses on a mystery pan?

I picked up this pan (8) at a thrift store and have no idea what it is. I’d like to avoid stripping the bottom for now (it’s pretty thin).

Any guesses would be awesome!

The raised 8 on the handle feels like early Lodge, but the smooth bottom does not. The underside of the handle feels like BSR, but the flat area at the hilt, the smooth bottom and the raised 8 do not. Is it a deep skillet (chicken fryer)?

It's not -- it's just about 2" deep.
