Erie #5 Yankee Bowl...planter

Yes, someone took a drill and put 5 holes in the bottom. Marked at $30, said that they could do $25. I was pretty sad. I suppose I could get it repaired but not sure it's worth it. Am I wrong in assuming that it's best use now is either as a planter or decorator piece? I can't imagine that it's worth $25 in the condition it's in now. Am I wrong?

I guess it might have some value to someone if the piece is so rare that, even with holes drilled in it, it's sought after. Repairing it won't help.

Thanks. My assumption is that this piece is about 1895-1910 because of the Erie mark and pattern number. Would this be about right?
