Crescent Foundry (Ozark) #8 D.O.

Seems like I saw somewhere on this site that the Crescent Foundry was in operation during the 1920's. Is that still the concensus on the time period that these skillets and dutch ovens were made?

Info on Crescent is among the more difficult to find. They operated from 1901 to at least 1930, as far as I can tell. There seems to be some confusion seen in collecting circles between them and another Crescent with a similar sounding name located in East St. Louis, IL, so you have to be careful when researching to make sure which one is being referenced. The markings and their old catalogs confirm this Crescent was in St. Louis, MO.

Thanks Doug. This DO is pretty interesting, with the bold markings on the bottom and the "beehive" hairdoo on the top.
