There may be apps better than this, but it is the best I've found so far for my Android phone. It lets me take a picture and enter text for that picture. It also stores all the pictures in its own folder if you so desire. Doubt it is available for iPhone, but there is probably something similar, maybe better. This one is called "Fast Photo Notes" (and no, I have no affiliation with them).

Good deal... hope it works out.

One feature I wish it had, but doesn't seem to, is a text search. I wanted to find a couple of things today while at an antique sale and found it difficult to look for a particular skillet when everything in there is a skillet.

Another handy use for it at a show would be to take a picture with notes about things that you think you might want to go back for later, or to help you compare prices.

Does it let you export the information to a file? (like a text file, or an Excel spreadsheet?)

My phone doesn't have a sim card, no windows OS. Use it to take photos only. Note book and pencil still works great.
