Chicken and Pigs

I found these two at a local antiques shop, $15 for the pair. Almost seemed wrong to watch the chicken and pigs that someone had so lovingly painted on them melt away in the lye bath.

The small one is a #3 three-notch Lodge and the larger one is a #8 Iron Mountain. Both cleaned up great and are fantastic users, which is perfect since I am by no means a collector. Especially the little Lodge, makes a fantastic sunny side up egg to go on a sandwich. Mmmmm.

Do you have a picture of the bottom of that #8?

Woops, I read that as Red Mountain. Iron Mountain is an import isn't it?

Iron Mountain is an unmarked Griswold line. Note the distinctive handle shape. The import you're thinking of is "Old Mountain".
