Default Chrome Griswold

Hey there! I just picked up this chrome plated Griswold #10, it also has the number 716 on the back. Does anyone happen to have more info on this?
Thanks!

716 is just the pattern number for #10 Griswold regular skillets.

See: http://www.castironcollector.com/plated.php and other, Griswold-related links at the bottom of the page.

Thank You!

Do you know if these are safe to cook on? I was told that the process to make these involved lead. Not sure if that is true or not.

Thanks again!

Never heard that one before. Re: cooking, if there's no loose plating on the cooking surfaces, it can be cleaned and seasoned like you would a bare iron pan. I'd skip seasoning the outside, and just apply some oil to any spots I thought might rust.
