Hello from the eastern panhandle of WV. Many thanks to the founders, administrators and participants of this site for providing an outstanding amount of information for identifying and caring for cast iron!
We've only recently caught the "cast iron fever" even though we have had a couple pieces for many years. We have been scouring local auctions and second hand stores for any iron they may have. Presently our favorite finds have been a Martin #3 Monday Morning skillet, a shallow Sportsman fryer #3052 and a small logo #7 Griswold that was totally scuzzed over and unidentifiable before cleaning.
The information on this site is very helpful for learning to identify, clean and restore old, rusty, crusty iron! Thanks again!
