New to Cast

Hello. Recently my wife came home with several cast iron skillets here grandfather gave her. At first I paid no attention until one day I figured I'd clean them up and sell them in a garage sale. After doing some research I've become pretty interested in cast. And that interest has lead me here. Excellent site for beginners. Thanks
 
Welcome. Hope you didn't sell them once you cleaned them up. Heirlooms are the best. Somehow food tastes better in them. I started with one my mother used to cook in and now...well, let's just say I'm giving skillets to all my nieces and nephews and still have a lot left to give my daughter. They all probably think I'm the weird uncle who gifts cast iron skillets, but they'll be happy if they hang onto them and start using them.
There is tons of great info and instructions for cleaning and seasoning on this site.
