Hoping to figure out the foundry

Looking at this mortar and pestle. The only markings are CS&T which I assume is the foundry/maker.
I can find nothing anywhere that gives me a clue.

A picture of the bottom also shows a narrow gate (I think).


Thanks in advance for any info you can offer.
 
I found out the CS&T stands for Chase Sharp & Thompson. In Philadelphia Pa. Mid 1800s.

I'll be taking a road trip very soon to score this beauty before someone else does. Better pics when/if I get it.
