Started using cast iron for camping. Bought a Lodge reversible grid iron griddle. Didn't really start cooking a lot on CI til I got a Lodge 12in skillet. After a year or so of cooking on that I began to love cooking on CI. Now, I look at flea markets and Goodwill all the time! My collection is modest, but growing (5 pieces). I've been researching vintage CI for what to look for.

My favorite piece I found at Goodwill for $8 and knew right then I had something good.

Thank you! It was pretty nasty when I bought it. I did the lye/vinegar bath and started seasoning it since. I hadn't heard of the electrolysis bath back when I cleaned it

Have you been to the Feed Depo on 301 just east of the outlet mall? Thats where my wife and I bought the Wapak waffle iron. Tom
