Help with heirloom skillet

Hi there!

I'm new around here and know nothing about cast iron, except that I REALLY, REALLY want to learn to cook with it. My Grandmother gave me an old rusted skillet that she said belonged to her Grandmother. She was going to throw it out since it's rusted, but I've read that you can clean up cast iron so it's my new project. I'm also not sure how true Grandma's claims are. So, can someone please help me identify my new skillet? Thanks SO much!

It's a Lodge Square Skillet. The markings put it 1950s to ~ early 1960s. Don't see too many of them. It looks to be in good shape, and, if not warped, should be a fine user.
