Just an intro. I am in my 60's, retired and spend most of my time on the farm with the grand kids and cooking with my cast iron. At last count we have around 40 pieces.
Many are family hand me downs that are well over 100 years old and others that I have picked up over the years. Did not know I was a "collector" until I found this site:grin: . After reading on here I must say that I'm not an expert on all of the different markings and ID's as many of you are. I know Wagner and Griswold are old and collectable,I also know Lodge and a few others by site,I have several of each, but mostly, after about 40 years of cooking in them, I just know a good piece of cast iron when I pick it up.
Now after reading here I see that I need to go through my "collection" and find a place to display some iron.
Look forward to reading and learning.
