i can remember even as a child liking the way cast iron looked! i can think back 15 plus years ago and picture mom pulling her skillet out of the oven full of wonderful cornbread!!!! Its been about a year and a half since i got my first skillet, now cast iron's just about the only thing i cook with. It was a rocky start to say the least!!!!(i didn't want to give up the soap!lol) After a little research it did'nt take long to catch on! Research lead me to want a smother skillet, that's went i remembered an old crusty skillet my dad had. I think he got it at a yard sale years ago for camping but never cleaned or used it.... so i did!
Turned out to be a number 7 three notch lodge. i just could'nt believe how nice that old skillet cleaned up! After that i was addicted. I set out in search of more finds!!! its become an obsession/addiction! I owe a lot to this site!!! i've learn so much here. Its very well put together and full of info!!!
