After buying a newer cast iron skillet and reading up about vintage cast iron and trying it out for myself with great success with a older lodge skillet i found i must say its been interesting reading about the history. I now have 4 different skillets .

Be careful. It's an insidious addiction. I too once had only one CI skillet. Now the extra bedroom is full of it. Sure is fun though..
