Been a fan of CI cooking for a while...only recently decided to hunt for vintage stuff. I guess it all started about 2 years ago when I picked up a used, no-name DO from the scrapyard for $20. I took it home cleaned it and seasoned it to use for my gumbo pot. The more I cooked with it, the more I noticed the gumbo was destroying my seasoning. I found a Lodge enamel DO on clearance and my problems were solved. I currently have about 5-6 Lodge egg logo along with 5 of their egg-logo camp ovens. Add in a couple of wedge pans, grill pans, and cornsticks and here I sit.

I was at a thrift store here in town last week and saw a nice looking skillet for $6 so I jumped on it. After googling and finding this site, I determined the skillet to be a BSR No. 8. I also believe the DO I picked up is a BSR as well.

Now the adventure begins! I have my lye bath and electrolysis bath equipment ready to put together and start working on some restorations...gonna go hunting this afternoon!

Welcome aboard.
The folks here are very nice and knowlegeable. I suggest you spend some time reading the articles about collecting, restoring and identifing CI. I have learned a lot in a fairly short time thanks to these guys.
