Hello all!

New to the forum here. I have been collecting and reconditions cast iron for the last six to eight months and have gotten fairly knowledgable on the subject. Just joined to further my learnings. It all got started last year when my grandmother pasted and she left me her CI cookware. Mostly old Lodge and BSR(red mountain mainly). I started researching as to what they all were and found the whole world of collecting. I have done become sorta hooked...lol! I have traveled over the southeast to flea markets, antique shops, yard sales etc.
I have about thirty new to me pieces now, including a few Griswolds(some high end, some not so much),more BSRs and older Lodge. I can, like anyone buy all day from EBay and such but to me getting out hunting is the whole appeal to me. Along with the cleaning and reseasoning process. Just today I found a Marion #11 at a small flea market is Miss. Never seen one until today. Also found a nice Wagner DO with lid. All in the lye bath now. I'll post up some of my find pictures in an appropriate thread later.

Anyways thanks for the acceptance and look forward to sharing and seeing others findings
Always on the hunt,
Steve

Welcome Steve.
Cast iron is an addictive hobby. I also love the hunt and the restoration. The food ain't bad either.
