Hello all -

I've only been collecting/interested in cast iron for a few weeks. I've made a few buys, but nothing particularly special.

Here's a few of my finds.

There doesn't seem to be a good way to embed Imgur albums, if anybody has any advice on that please let me know.

Anyway, I have my first pan in a lye bath and plan on building an e-tank. It's a 60s Wagner grill pan, not valuable, but a good start!

Glad to meet you all, this site and forum has been an excellent resource.

Nope.... But links are fine. I've noticed a few redditors here, so we're used to Imgur. You can also embed images in posts'.

I've got quite a bit of cast iron, but the one thing I never see while I'm out hunting is grill pans. There's one floating around in my family, but nobody will admit that they're the one who has it. :(

Have you had your tetanus shot?

Lol, yes up to date on all my shots. :-)

I've got a modern Lodge one too that I've had for a few years. To be completely honest, we don't use it. It makes nice grill marks....but it's useless for anything but primary protein cooking. I just use the Weber when I want grill marks. Much less mess on the stove too.

I don't know what I am going to do with the Wagner one. It's not particularly valuable and the Lodge pretty much proves I won't use it. I'm gonna fish it out of the lye tank today and put it in the vinegar tank. I think it's more rusty than gunky. We'll see how it turns out.
