Good morning from Alaska

Good morning everyone! Really excited to join the Cast Iron Collector Forum! My name is Joe and I come from Anchorage the largest city in Alaska. Born and raised in Alaska and my hobbies include auto racing, bbq, and craft beer since we have 30 breweries and 8 distilleries here in Alaska.

I've always enjoyed cooking, but just recently got into cast iron cooking. My girlfriend watched a video from Jeffrey B. Rogers, The Culinary Fanatic to make a dish. It was great, and she showed me the video. I then started to watch his videos for recipes and ventured into learning more about cast iron cooking.

Now I really enjoy cooking more because of cast iron and the quality compare to cheap non-stick pots and pans we had before. I've also learned about the vintage cast iron skillets and at a antique store bought and restore a Griswold #5 which is great for eggs, saute/caramelize onions, and smaller sides.

In total I have a Lodge 10inch I received from my birthday, a Griswold #5, and a Lodge Reversible Pro Grid Iron Grill/Griddle. Looking to add more vintage cast iron.

Thank you!
