Found An Odd One

Carolyn stopped by a large junk shop the other day and ran across this nasty old skillet. Got it for $5 so that part was good. I don't know how many layers of black paint and crud was on it but there was a bunch. Had to do some scraping to get the last few spots knocked off. Didn't cleanup to bad considering what it was to start with.
Old Sears brand name made between 1916 and 1934 by Favorite Stove and Range Company from what I could find.

$5 is a great price.
Puritan pans were also made by Griswold.
This one is definitely a Favorite.

Griswold also made Puritan for Sears, but are easily distinguished from the Favorite by a unique handle design.

I read that Doug and found about the same info on the net. Thanks for the comment and reference. I have the most trouble identifying pans by the handle. Just not seeing what I need to see.
