Hello Every one. I just registered and have a question from the Experts.
I have included pictures.

I have this Cast Iron Cauldron , Barrows Savery & Co, #No. 11, 10 Gallon.
Philadelphia. the opening is 18 inches wide, and 12 1/2 inch Tall

I do know it was made back in the 1880's. The company was purchased by Mr. Barrows in 1881...

So, my Question is ::

What is the Value of this thing ??

My neighbor's mother had it in her house for ever as a coffee table, it was her mothers too, she would decorate in during holloween, it has a heavy round piece of glass that goes over it. It has Never been outside....

Thanks Everyone for your expertise !

That it is marked with a foundry name makes it of more interest to collectors than an unmarked example of the same. But there are really no published guides as to valuation of older pieces such as it. That pretty much leaves whatever someone is willing to give for it. We often use completed/sold eBay searches for current selling prices as a guide to estimated values, but large format pieces are rarely seen there due to the expense and difficulty of shipping such an item.

That is a great piece. I have no idea how much it's worth. But would love to find one like it one day. :icon_thumbsup:

Thanks Rick..Hopefully someone here
will see my post and have some additional info.
