Trying to Identify the Manufacture of This Skillet.

It has "10 1/2 iron skillet" on the bottom. Directly under that is a "Z4" or a "24" but appears to me to be "Z4". The handle has a raised 1/2" tall size 8. Those are the only marks I can find. It has no heat ring and a very smooth bottom. It reminds me of a wagner or griswold and seems to be a very quality pan. It belonged to my grandmother.

Half inch tall #8 on the handle??????

If you want help and advise please post pictures of the entire top and entire bottom.

Jack, I think he means half inch long? I’d like to see pics as well. Sounds interesting! I don’t think I’ve seen a smooth bottomed skillet with those markings and a raised number.
 
Unmarked Wagner, early 1960s. The 8 isn't raised, just filled with build-up.
