Hello to Everyone,

I found some cast iron pans in my mother-in-law's basement. I knew better than to do anything with them without checking. The first pan says Victor 722 and an 8. Is this worthy anything? It's awfully light in comparison to other iron skillets I have used.

There is a dutch oven that has no markings.

Thank you

The Victor is an economy piece produced by Griswold. It's lighter because that's how they made them back then, and also because it's smaller and shallower than a normal #8. In excellent condition, it's worth about $25.

The DO is hard to say without a photo.

While the Griswold Victors were an economy line they were of the same high quality as the regular Griswold skillets and made only in sized 5-9. I would say that a No.8 would be worth well over $25 although you can sometimes find them for that. A No.5 Victor runs around $500 if you pay the collector price. My very first piece of iron cookware was my Mom's No.8 Victor.
