Default Need Input on Lead Testing.

I acquired a couple pieces from a person who stripped and seasoned the skillets, used them for a while, but lost interest in CI. Problem is, the pieces were not tested for lead.

Couple question:
-Being these items were recently seasoned, would the lead, if present, have leached thru?
-If I strip the pieces, then test, flash rust will color the test sticks and I won't be able to determine the presences of lead?

Looking for any advise as to how to obtain an accurate lead test.

thanks

A youtube video happened to surface on my recommended list that shows 3M lead test sticks being used on an unseasoned pot suspected of lead contamination. It didn't appear any measures were taken prior to address surface oxidation, but the test stick didn't appear to pick up any color from it, either. If that's a concern, I'd dry the stripped pan as thoroughly as possible in the oven, let it cool, wipe off any flash rust in a few areas as much as possible with a dry terry towel, and proceed with the testing.
