Default Identification Help

Greetings and Happy Holidays! I was in a thrift store today and found an interesting skillet that I hadn't seen before. It has a large gate mark, a raised "U" next to the gate, a raised number 8 on the handle and the handle itself is ornate. It's probably nothing special, but since it seemed different, I purchased it for $3.96. I'm going to try and load some pictures of it.

It has some qualities reminiscent of King Stove & Range, and Excelsior (also known to have gate marks), but I don't think it's either. Cool old piece, though. Will be interesting to see what shape the top is in after it's cleaned.

I cleaned and seasoned the mystery pan. There are lots of waves in the surface and the gate mark shows through. The edges are clean with the exception the radius of the handle by the number has got a little burr on it. What I find interesting is the "lip" on the edge of the pan (second picture).
