Default Weekend Score

Weekend haul from the scrapyard. A couple of cherry pieces, a couple of really really good pieces, lots of good solid user pieces and of course some real crap.

I see some outside heat rings there in the front and at least one chef skillet... and a LOT of iron... can't believe someone was scrapping that much usable cookware!

I tried to talk to a local scrapper and was told abruptly to get lost.

Yeah, I get told to get lost more times than not. Keep at it, be willing to step up on the price and hopefully you can get an in. This guy was really hesitant to sell to me, until I offered $50 for that no 9 second series ERIE and another $50 for that 1910-15 no 8 Wagner. That opened the door. It seems a lot of scrappers, here in CA anyway, list their stuff online directly. Itís a lot of effort but finding one or 2 scrappers willing to work with you can really pay off.
